A whole range of restaurants are located along and behind Sukhumvit
and it's sub-Soi's. This is where you'll find something to suit
every budget and taste. The beauty of eating out in Sukhumvit is
that there is always something to choose from within 2 feet of any
hotel locale - if you don't want to venture far away or feel like
a walk.
Hotel Dining
Within Sukhumvit's main hotels themselves there is a great selection
of upmarket dining options. At The Rembrandt Hotel , try the best
Mexican Restaurant in town - Senor Pico's - extensive menu, live
music, dancing and very lively atmosphere. Bookings recommended.
A very decent Indian restaurant - Rang Mahal - is also found there.

Other complexes along Sukhumvit include Times Square opposite Robinson's
Department Store, and the Ploenchit Centre, next to the JW Marriot
Hotel on Soi 2. Each has small restaurants within.

Other
Hidden within the back sois off Sukhumvit and stretching along it's
entire length for miles are literally hundreds of eateries. Starting
from Soi Nana, you'll find a number of Middle Eastern and Indian
style restaurants, in what is called "Little Arabia". Look for Mrs
Balbir's and the Moghul Room off Soi 11 for great Indian food. If
it's Thai your looking for, visit Cabbages and Condoms on Soi 12,
or go up to Soi 24 to The Lemongrass - wonderful Thai food served
in an old house. Good pub style food is easily found - choose from

- Bull's Head - also on Soi 33/1. Le Dalat Indochine on Soi 23,

serving Vietnamese cuisine. For something a bit different, try The
Cedar Lebanese Restaurant, set in a house on Soi 49/9, delicious
food in exotic surroundings make you feel far away from Thailand.
Italian fare is good at Pan Pan, on Soi 33, or L'Opera on Soi 39.
Looking for coffee and light brunch? Try Kuppa on Soi 16, which
is spacious and airy - perfect for lounging in comfort on weekends.

delicious cakes. Also houses an art gallery upstairs. Scattered
along Sukhumvit Road you'll also find branches of Starbucks and
Deli France - both of which have taken Bangkok by storm in the past
18 months or so, and which provide decent coffee and sandwiches
for those times when you need a break from Thai food. For seafood
lovers, a trip to the Seafood Market on Soi 24 is a must. A huge
selection of the freshest seafood and accompaniments which you select
and hand to the chef to cook in your favourite style - popular with
tourists and locals alike.

Pratunam/Phetchaburi Road Area
This area has fewer upmarket restaurants than street stalls and
roadside cafes selling all manner of Thai food specialties. A number
of seafood bbq stalls have set up along Petchburi Road parallel
to the canal which is always crowded with commuters and late night
Thai shoppers.
